Cənubi Qafqazda su ehtiyatlarının qeyri-bərabər paylanması bölgənin ekoloji təhlükəsizliyinə böyük problemlər yaratmışdır. Azərbaycan Respublikası bölgədəki transsərhəd sulardan ən çox asılı olan, eyni zamanda içməli su təchizatı baxımından ən həssas olan ölkədir. Məqalənin məqsədi Azərbaycanda su ehtiyatları ilə bağlı mövcud vəziyyətə diqqəti cəlb etmək və bölgədə əhalinin sağlam həyat tərzi hüququnu pozan amilləri öyrənməkdir.
